What Is HIV?
HIV is the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, which causes HIV infection and AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). HIV attacks the human immune system, which is responsible for defending the body against various diseases.
What is AIDS?
AIDS is the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome caused by HIV. We often mistakenly identify the terms HIV and AIDS since the two conditions are related.
AIDS concerns everybody
AIDS concerns everybody because anybody can be infected by HIV that causes AIDS, regardless of gender, age and sexual activity. There are no high risk groups, but there is high risk activity, which can bring us all to face AIDS.
